My new full-length collection, Sunward/Moonwise is out now from Impspired, published in June 2021.

You can order it from me directly using my Big Cartel bookshop link here, or from Impspired.

Sunward/Moonwise is a weekend at a festival; an evening in a pub beer garden; a journey up and down and across the UK by train; a peek into the afterlife, the otherworld; a walk with flowers and creatures telling us their secrets; conversations with rivers; a melody you remember at the strangest times. These are poems of discovery and connection, looking for something new in every ending.

"The range of form in this collection is fresh and inventive. Garrett's language is gorgeous and musical. One can only stand back and admire certain lines, which retain clarity while doing the poet's work of perfectly expressing the unsayable." - Angela Topping

My latest book Hart & Ha'penny is available to order at TwistiT Press now! Anyone for historical and modern fiction intertwined in poetry form?

In the early years of the 17th century, for the first time ever a Scottish king acceded the English throne. His name was James.

In the early decades of the 21st century, two friends, Bryony and Ash, are just trying to figure things out together in the West Midlands of England.

Asking questions about legacy and sovereignty along the way, Hart & Ha’penny is part historical fiction, part contemporary tale – a time-hopping poetry novella about love and god(s), magic and survival, and finding somewhere to belong.

Each book ordered from TwistiT Press gets a free broadside featuring two poems from the book - 'A few things cunning women do' and 'James, the peaceful and the just'.

I have released a free PDF ebook for Halloween / Samhain 2020 (and any time of year you want to read spooky, eerie, or otherworldly things) - It was a trembling: Poems for October and Beyond.

There are 21 poems here, taken from previous books of mine: the limited edition pamphlet Land and Sea and Turning (published in 2018 by CWP Collective / Dark Particle Press) and my now out-of-print collection published in 2019, The saint of milk and flames.

For more info and to download, click the book cover - it'll take you to a special post on my seriously under-used blog.

A View from the Phantasmagoria is a paranormal horror chapbook which also explores a 20+ year struggle with PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder).

£1/£2 from each sale will be split between IAPMD (the International Association for Premenstrual Disorders) and Vicious Cycle: Making PMDD Visible. For more information, visit the book page here.

My mini chapbook
To Feed My Woodland Bones [A Changeling's Tale] is available now from Animal Heart Press (or directly from me). This book is made up of 12 poems written around very human experiences, but through the magical, otherworldly lens of a changeling. View the trailer here.

I was interviewed about To Feed My Woodland Bones at The Wombwell Rainbow.

It's not every day a writer gets this kind of praise about who they are, but when it does happen they make nice website endorsements:

"Just as interesting in person as she'd seemed on the internet."
- Poet, songwriter, and reviewer Ian Badcoe, on his blog, after the Deadly, Delicate book launch

"...a magical pixie of the poetry world."
- Zoe Mitchell, a magical poet in her own right, in an interview with The Literary Pig

If you want poetry about changelings, goth selkies, real-life fairytale villains, ghosts, love and lust, magic, motherhood, woodlands, secrets, lost things and the sea (to name a few)...

If you want historical/fiction poems about pirates, prophecies, cannibalism, witches, kings, and everyday things (again, to name a few)...

If you want a poet who can read this sort of thing at your event...

If you want someone to run workshops based around any of these things...

You've come to the right place. Welcome.
